RC Roxas Vies for 6 District Awards

The Rotary Club of Roxas beat deadline last February 29 to vie for six district awards for Rotary Year 2007-2008 which includes the Most Outstanding Rotary Club Award, Most Outstanding Community Service Award, Most Outstanding Avenue for Vocational Service Award, Most Outstanding Avenue for Community Service Award, Most Outstanding Club Bulletin, Highest Percentage of New Members and Highest Number of New Members Award. This was made possible through the efforts of incoming director for service projects Dr. Leah del Rosario, incoming Sergeant-at-arms Jerry Lames, PE Dr. Pip Acepcion and incoming secretary Dr. Raoul Bermejo.

As a sign of support, the past presidents of the club contributed the budget to produce the six books for the district awards requirements.

The club hopes to bag the awards to be given during the DISCON in Bacolod City especially with the significant increase in number of young and able new members. This year, the club has a net increase of 83.3% in terms of membership.
